Should you try? Yes, especially on a cold day.

Quickly Hot Pot

Known for its bubble teas, the Quickly on Grand St. (Chinatown) also offers some delicious hot pot (shabu shabu).  For $25, they offer all you can eat and all you can drink (within two hours).  The drinks include any of the teas (with or without bubbles/pudding) and juices, but not the fresh juice.  The table includes sunken hot plates so each person has their own broth, which one can choose between standard (seaweed flavor), kimchi or spicy.

Mix your own sauces then go to town.  The meat options include beef, pork, chicken, and lamb, while the seafood includes shrimp, scallops, and fish.  You can choose between different types of tofu, fish and squid balls, egg dumplings, vegetables (corn, spinach, cabbage etc.), noodle (vermicelli or udon) and more.

I prefer the individual broths since as an added bonus, you end up with a delicious broth.  How can you not after cooking all these different foods in a little bowl of broth for over an hour?  Each will taste different, depending on what you cooked, but mine ended up tasting rich and buttery.
